 65th Church Anniversary Celebration Congregation Photo A great time was had by all on the celebration of Fairbanks Lutheran Church’s 65th anniversary. Our Sunday, August 23rd, 2009 celebration worship service and potluck luncheon was attended by many current and past friends. Many of those not able to attend sent their greetings and reflections on our history along with pictures. Thank you to all who helped make our celebration memorable! Our Youth Group had the opportunity to attend the National Youth Gathering in New Orleans this summer thanks to the generousity of our  Fairbanks Lutheran Group fellow Fairbanks Lutheran members and friends! We were able to worship in the SuperDome with over 38,000 other people who attended this gathering. The speakers were inspirational, a favorite song was “I get down and He lifts me up!”  Worship Service in SuperDome Our service project focused on Wealth & Poverty. We helped clean up a community graveyard which was much appreciated by the neighborhood.  Cemetery - Before
